The Wild and Wacky World of Equipment Rentals

Funny Stories and Odd Uses

Have you ever thought about all the unique and quirky ways people use equipment rentals? From kettles to engine cranes, it seems like there's no limit to the creativity of our customers.

For instance, have you heard of the time when we rented out a kettle because the customer's own kettle was undergoing a PAT (portable appliance testing) test? Talk about a hot cup of tea being a matter of urgency!

But that's just the tip of the iceberg. We've also seen engine cranes being used to transport pizza ovens to back gardens for outdoor cooking parties. And who could forget the time a cement mixer was rented out without the drum? We can only imagine the confusion at the job site.

And let's not forget about the unconventional use of our genie lifts. They're typically used for lifting heavy materials and equipment, but have you heard about the time they were used to move sofas from the first floor of a house? Talk about taking multi-tasking to a whole new level!

And even our latest products to the shop the Grabo Pro Lifters, designed to make lifting easier. Normally used for lifting glass, tiles, steels and even gypsum board and wood. But we’ve seen it all… I think… over the past year I’ve hired out our Grabo Pro Lifters to pull dents out of the side of a transit vans, to lift fireplaces and even open doors.

We also service chainsaws for a company who don’t use them for cutting trees… Yes, that’s right a chainsaw that isn’t used for cutting trees. Used for cutting the plastic that’s used to mould the buoys that you see out at sea.

And finally, the picture you see in this blog is our power broom being used to clean the alleys at the cricket club, done an amazing job too.

It's always a surprise to see what our customers will come up with next. But no matter how weird or wacky the use may be, we're always here to provide the equipment they need to get the job done.

So next time you're in need of some equipment, whether it's for a standard construction project or a backyard pizza party, remember that we've got you covered. And who knows, you may even have a story to add to our collection of wild and wacky equipment rental tales.
